YFM90 RAPTOR
The Yamaha Raptor 90 comes with plenty of great features aimed to get youngsters on all fours safely. The Raptor 90 features a new 88cc SOHC wet sump engine mated to a fully automatic CVT transmission. And it comes with the peace-of-mind safety features that you would expect form Yamaha, such as a throttle limiter that allows you to adjust the YFM90R’s acceleration and top speed to suit your kid’s ability level. And a parking brake on the handlebar to keep the new Raptor exactly where they last left it. It’s thinking like this that makes YFM90R the kids’ ATV that adults love too.

Raptor 90 also features dual A-Arm front suspension, rear disc brake, full floorboards and low profile Maxxis tyres. Final drive is by heavy duty 520 chain. Small enough for any 12 year old to handle, but big in features and ability, this electric start ATV has all the ‘use it, forget it, use it again’ low-maintenance convenience that kids (and parents) love so much. Of course, being a Yamaha, as much thought has gone into taking the stress out of your life as packing the YFM90R with great experience-building features. Like the throttle limiter that features a simple plug-in for the CDI unit. Or the emergency kick starter unit stored under the seat for added peace of mind. Shock absorbers are five-way adjustable for preload and there’s a combination of dual drum brakes up front and a powerful disc brake out back. Raptor 90 comes in the classic Yamaha Blue and a unique White version. They’ll be rapt with the new Raptor!

YFM125R RAPTOR
Yamaha’s Raptor YFM125R is designed to offer entry level riders a full sports experience thanks to an air-cooled 4-stroke SOHC single-cylinder 124cc engine that is tuned to give even, usable torque across the entire speed range for the kind of “ease of use” that good drivability provides.

Unlike pseudo sports ATVs that feature automatic transmission and reverse gear that don’t contribute directly to the sport riding experience, the Raptor 125 runs a sweet shifting five speed manual gearbox with traditional hand operated clutch setup.

The power unit is mounted in a lightweight steel frame that is characterised by an excellent balance of rigidity and strength. Also featuring a double wishbone type front suspension and Monocross rear suspension, this model adopts components throughout its chassis that provide the performance for entry-level sport riding.

Raptor 125 is engineered throughout for reduced weight and low centre of gravity to ensure riders can enjoy the sport riding experience.

Designed with the basic performance features of a sport ATV, the Raptor 125 is a key model in Yamaha Motor’s product strategy of providing a step-up link between the youth-oriented models and the higher-spec all-round sport models of the Raptor series, and on to the pure sport YFZ series models.

YFM250R RAPTOR

YFM450 EPS GRIZZLY
The Grizzly 450 has been a popular choice of professional and recreational riders since its introduction in 2005. It combines the versatility, durability and pulling power of a utility ATV with the handling and comfort that trail riding demands.

This year’s model retains the renowned features that set its predecessors apart from the competition. Like Yamaha’s push-button On-Command® drive system, which ensures solid driveability over varied terrain by allowing riders to rapidly switch between 2WD, 4WD or 4WD with differential lock. And, fully independent double-wishbone suspension at front and rear that maximises wheel contact over ruts and bumps to allow more traction and a smoother ride.

Yamaha’s EPS system has now been brought to the mid-sized ATV segment for the first time in response to feedback from Yamaha customers. This speed-sensitive system greatly reduces the physical effort demanded of riders, lowering fatigue levels on long working days or expeditions. In addition to easing the steering effort, the EPS system dampens any steering kickback. The Grizzly 450 EPS uses the same system as the Grizzly 700 EPS, but with a new mapping to suit the unique riding characteristics of the Grizzly 450. The new AC generator assembly delivers sufficient output to power the EPS system under any conditions.
421cc liquid-cooled, SOHC four-stroke single is rugged and powerful.
Semi-oval slide 33mm BSR Mikuni® carburettor and high-output DC-CDI ignition deliver fantastic throttle response and engine performance at all rpm.

YFM550 EPS GRIZZLY
A middleweight utility ATV with heavyweight ability – that’s the Grizzly 550.

The bear incorporates most of the advanced riding technology features of Yamaha’s biggest and most powerful ATV, the Grizzly 700, but is powered by a compact 558cc four-stroke single engine.

This advanced powerplant is built to deliver an ideal combination of low running costs and high-traction torque through the rev range to help the new Grizzly 550 appeal to a wide cross-section of ATV users.

The four-valve engine features a new crankshaft that’s been reprofiled for even smoother running, a new cylinder head with a long-reach spark plug for easy starting, and EFI fuel injection for better emissions and lower fuel consumption.

Yamaha’s three-position push-button On Command drive system offers a choice of 2WD, 4WD, or 4WD with differential lock to keep Grizzly 550 going across the most difficult terrain. And fully automatic Ultramatic™ transmission makes forward motivation both simple and controllable.

Industry leading all-round double-wishbone independent suspension help all wheels stick to the deck to increase traction when the going gets tough, while all wheel disc brakes feature with shaft drive for ultimate user friendliness.

Yamaha’s variable-resistance Electronic Power Steering (EPS) takes the stress out of everyday tasks, no matter how much work a user packs into a Grizzly 550 day. And that’s a lot, thanks to the 20-litre underseat fuel tank and even better ergonomics including a redesigned seat, throttle control and transmission shift lever, plus new arm guards front and rear to optimise durability. A tough digital instrumentation pod provides a full rundown of speed, engine hours, fuel and transmission status, and a double trip meter.

Cargo racks front and rear join a big range of optional accessories including bulldozer blades, power winches, skid plates and brush guards to build on Grizzly 550’s already impressive functionality.

A dead ringer for its legendary big brother the Grizzly 700, just about the only thing that isn’t full-sized on the Grizzly 550 is the price.

YFM700 GRIZZLY
More big bore power, more tough off road ability and more compact than ever, the fuel injected Grizzly 700 EPS features an industry-exclusive electric power steering system that makes it not just the toughest Grizzly ever, but also the smoothest riding.

Powering the Grizzly 700 EPS is Yamaha’s proven revolutionary fuel injected 686cc, four-stroke forward-inclined single cylinder and liquid-cooled engine. This features a ceramic composite coated, all-aluminium cylinder, a reverse-facing air intake, electronic fuel injection, straight intake tracts and four valves per cylinder for grunt on tap. It also features a high-efficiency radiator mounted high in the chassis to protect against mud and debris.

The Grizzly’s power steering system is speed sensitive, so that the rider benefits from more assistance when needed at low speed and less when on the move. A low mounted 20 litre fuel cell centralises mass and ensures that handling characteristics are further optimised.

To assist with braking, the engine features Yamaha’s Engine Brake Control, which helps to slow the ATV when descending steep downhills. The Grizzly 700 4x4 EPS transfers power from its engine to the wheels through Yamaha’s Ultramatic V-Belt transmission featuring high and low range, reverse, plus parking brake.

By pressing a button on the handlebar, the rider can also select two or four wheel drive operation. In four wheel drive mode, the Grizzly 700 can use the differential lock to deliver the torque equally to all wheels for maximum traction. The straight layout design of the drive shafts reduces vibration and minimises torque fluctuations in the drive line.

The rear braking system and gear case have been redesigned in conjunction with the independent rear suspension. Smaller and more compact, the gear case is extremely rugged and efficient. The dual front and rear hydraulic discs provide maximum stopping power for the Grizzly.

A sturdy double-cradle frame is crafted from tubular steel while double wishbone suspension features front and rear. The independent suspension system features five-way adjustable pre-load and offers generous wheel travel. The setup offers smooth action, high stability and excellent rider comfort.

The combination of the chassis and suspension provides the Grizzly 700 EPS with a massive amount of ground clearance. Plus the riding position sits 25mm higher than that of the Grizzly 660 4x4, enhancing the rider’s ability to scan the horizon. The vertically positioned automotive-style instrument panel suits the riding position with features to ensure that the rider has all the key information.

Yamaha’s Grizzly is a legend in utility ATV circles. The 700cc version with fuel injection and Electronic Power Steering has further refined the Grizzly legend to ensure that future generations of workers can enjoy Grizzly toughness and reliability.
